A hotel with no traditional front desk — self check-in at Le Manoir
Le Manoir — Marche-en-Famenne
Le Manoir doesn’t run on a front desk open fixed hours. Instead: a self check-in system, designed for travellers whose schedules don’t always line up with a conventional hotel’s.
How it actually works
Before your stay, you receive access details (a digital key and/or code) by email. On arrival — from 3pm, and practically any time after that — you go straight into the building and then your room using the connected locks, without waiting for anyone.
Who finds this particularly useful
- WEX visitors getting back late after a concert or trade show
- Train travellers whose arrival time isn’t fixed
- Business trips with days that run long
- Simply anyone who’d rather not have to “let someone know” what time they’ll arrive
Does this mean less service?
No — it just changes how you get in. The team stays reachable if you need anything, and practical information (Wi-Fi, breakfast at our partner restaurants, parking) is shared in advance so everything is clear from the moment you arrive.
